Jerome A. Madden (Jerry)

Principal

For over three decades, Jerry has litigated civil trial and appellate cases in federal courts throughout the the United States. He has been lead trial counsel in cases seeking hundreds of millions of dollars in damages in breach-of-contract, breach-of-fiduciary-duty, negligence, and fraud actions. Jerry has been lead appellate counsel in well over 100 appeals in the federal courts and has significant Supreme Court experience. He is one of the very few attorneys who has presented oral argument in all 13 federal circuit courts of appeals.  Litigated Cases.   Substantive areas of expertise include, financial-institution litigation under the Federal Deposit Insurance Act and the Dodd-Frank Act (including financial-institution receivership law and open-bank enforcement actions), suits seeking injunction or declaratory relief from government decisions and regulations, suits against the United States for breach of contract or negligence.  In 2012, Jerry received the John Marshall Award for Outstanding Legal Achievement, which is the Department of Justice's highest award for an attorneys contributions to the mission of the Department of Justice and excellence in specialized areas of the law.  Read full bio.
